Account & credits¶
Get the money questions out of the way before you build.
Your account¶
- Sign up with email + password + username — no real name, no birth date. Verify your email to activate everything (and receive the welcome credit).
- Joining a class? Enter the 12-character invite code from your teacher at sign-in, or later from your profile.
Credits¶
1 credit = 1 USD. Credits pay for AI usage (chat, realtime voice) and cloud simulator time. New accounts get a $5 welcome credit (launch event).
| What | Cost |
|---|---|
| Simulator 4 vCPU · 16GB (default) | 2 credits/hour, per second |
| Simulator 8 vCPU · 32GB | 3 credits/hour |
| Simulator 16 vCPU · 64GB | 4 credits/hour |
| AI chat / voice | per-model rates, shown in the MODEL badge |
In a classroom, student usage draws from the teacher's sponsor limit, not the student's balance.
Simulator lifecycle (why you won't waste money)¶
- Idle ~30 minutes → the machine stops automatically; billing stops, files stay.
- Stopped over 1 hour → archived to an image (resume takes 2–3 minutes).
- 30 days without a run → deleted, files included. Download what you care about.
